Unit (Andreas Peschel Lab) is seeking a: PhD student (Biology / Biochemistry / Molecular Lifesciences,
.) for an attractive and challenging research project in the field of Molecular Microbiology / Infection Biology. Our group explores virulence and physiology of the major human pathogen Staphylococcus aureus with the goal to achieve new insights into microbe-host interaction and use this knowledge for novel preventive and therapeutic strategies. We are offering excellent working conditions in a young and highly motivated team. The position (1/2 E13) is scheduled for 3 years. Candidates should be interested in molecular aspects of bacterial physiology and microbe/host interaction. Skills in bacterial genetics, protein science, biochemistry, cell biology, and immunology would be very helpful for successful research. We are expecting openness for teamwork, new techniques, and independent research.
