Our lab is part of the graduate program 804 (?Analysis of cell function by combinatorial chemistry and biochemistry, Chemical biology and membrane-bound signal transduction?).
In a novel, collaborative project, we have recently identified a new multidomain protein with major functions in cell polarity and cytokinesis. To further characterize this protein, we offer a PhD thesis project to identify associated proteins, its regulation by miRNAs and to develop aptamers against it.
We are looking for applicants with excellent knowledge in molecular and cell biology or biochemistry. Experience in cell culture, work with RNA and confocal microscopy is desirable.
Candidates from abroad are welcome. They should hold first class degrees in one of the above subjects and be fluent in English. Our group is well connected to local, national and international collaborators and provides first class education.
