The junior group "Regulation of Gene Expression" is seeking enthu-siastic PhD students with a strong interest in mammalian cell biology
and tumour biology. The available projects, funded by the Deutsche Krebshilfe, involves the characterisation of different modes of motility in metastatic cancer cells, and the underlying regulatory processes and transcriptional networks. The methodology will include modern microscopic techniques, manipulation of mammalian cells (with e.g. siRNA/shRNA), genome-wide quantitative gene expression analysis, cell adhesion and migration assays, and protein biochemistry. The candidates must be willing to relocate with the lab. For further information see Mol. Cell 35:291 (2009); J. Cell Science 121:1025 (2008); Trends Cell Biol. 16:588 (2006), or visit our webpage. http://www.biochem.mpg.de/ullrich/junior_groups/guido_posern/index.html
