of new or improved measuring meth-ods and analytical separation techniques as well as spectroscopy and spectrometric equip-ment in modern analysis, research is undertaken in the areas of spectroscopic methods and analytical contributions to solving problems in the fields of materials and life sciences. For our department of Bioanalytics in Dortmund, ISAS invites applications for a PhD student in Biochemistry / Chemistry (m/f) As a member of the Bioanalytics Research team you will be responsible for: Working in a research team dedicated to label free proteomics (analysis of protein expression pattern and targeted analysis of protein complexes). Supporting the continuous development and enhancement of proteomics based me-thods and strategies (e.g. Vögtle et al. Cell 2009, Lewandrowski et al. Blood 2009). Presenting and publishing data Your profile Master / Diploma in Biochemistry/Chemistry Basic knowledge in proteomics and / or mass spectrometry is a requirement Basic experience in study set-up and design of experiments Scientific creativity and passion for discovery Good ability to communicate and collaborate with scientists from fields such as che-mistry, biology, physics and bioinformatics Good working knowledge of English.
